Recently we launched a website for a realtor named Robert or Bob Medicus. Having looked at what was available from Keller Williams we opted for a custom design, some cool features and a new approach that was not available from the Keller Williams template system.
Why did we go custom? The answer is simple, in order to get local results and being able to do any kind of local SEO we had to have control over certain aspects. Since the Keller Williams template website runs the realtors on a sub-domain it is hard to optimize that website. In addition the entire property search is run by a separate system which makes it almost impossible to utilize the listings as part of the SEO. In order to have a chance to show up under local searches for his area, we came up with a strategy and a solution that would accomplish that.
His new website now has a chance of being fully optimized and the entire marketing campaign is focused around showing up on local search engines and doing business locally. Since most realtors focus on specific areas this is a great solution for most realtors that are looking to see results from their website. Without local optimization the only traffic realtors will get is from their other marketing material or from word of mouth. By setting things up the way we did with Bob Medicus we just opened up a new source for generating local leads, which for a realtor is invaluable.
We congratulate Bob on discovering and realizing the importance of being able to utilize the website as part of his overall marketing tools, instead of just trying to use it as “the website”.
